Japón parte 1: La llegada en B&N / Japan part 1: The arrival in B&W

Ha pasado ya un buen tiempo desde que actualicé este blog.
Siento que muchas cosas han cambiado desde entonces, lo cual dentro de poco se manifestará en un cambio de diseño visual (coming soon).
 Por ahora creo que el blog será una buena forma de mostrar las fotos de mi soñado viaje a Japón donde pasé unos emocionantes y dichosos 26 días. Comencé a editar las fotos hace un tiempo ya, pero realmente mi computador es tan lento y con un volumen de fotos considerable (por decirlo menos) no se hace una tarea fácil. Pero bueno, al menos es algo que me mantiene ocupada en estos tiempos de pandemia.
Para contextualizar, estas fotos fueron tomadas en mi primer día de viaje donde visité el templo Sensoji, en Asakusa, Tokio. Para mi suerte, llegué justo a la celebración de un festival budista llamado Hozuki Ichi. Las personas montan un mercado donde venden la planta hozuki, una planta physalis que al parecer tiene propiedades curativas. La gente cree que si se visita el templo durante esta festividad se equivale a visitar el templo más de 46.000 veces por lo que tu suerte y las propiedades curativas de la planta se amplifican toda esa cantidad.

Bueno, a decir verdad, creo sería mejor mostrar estas fotos a color, pues hay una informacion importante perdida en el blanco y negro. Sin embargo, sinceramente, estas fotos salieron en blanco y negro así como casi sin querer. No obstante, creo que gracias a eso se nota fácilmente lo primero que captó mi atención de este lejano país; su gente.

Hi all,

It has been long time since I update this blog.
Many things have changed since then, I'll be showing a new visual design for this blog in the near future. Meantime, this blog will be a nice way to show the pictures that I took during those twenty-six exciting days in Japan. I started to work on them long time ago but my laptop is pretty slow and I have quite a lot of pictures, so you can imagine it won't be an easy task to do. However, at least this is something good to keep myself busy during the isolation.
These pictures are from my first day in Japan. I arrived in Tokyo and I visited the Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. I got there just in the right moment because people were celebrating a Buddhist tradition calls Hozuki Ichi. Stalls were set up on the temple ground to sell the healing plant calls Hozuki, a physalis also call Japanese lantern plant. Japanese people believe that if you visit the Sensoji Temple during this celebration is equal to visit the temple more than forty thousand times; therefore, your blessings will be increased thousand times as well.

To be honest, there is too much information missing on these photos because of the black and white. I made them in black and white almost by accident and I felt pretty happy about it. Because of that, I think is easy to recognize the first thing that got my attention in this country; the people.
